Food Drive Stocks Pantries

It certainly rained on Saturday, but that didn't put a damper on the Sixth Annual National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Food Drive. Valley United Way and United Ways all across the country were partners in this worthwhile project along with the U.S. Postal Service.  Letter carriers collected food donations while delivering mail along their regular routes and then delivered it to designated sites throughout the Valley. Students from Valley United Way's Youth Leadership Program helped unload dozens of trucks at The Spooner House in Derby while other volunteers helped the letter carriers at sites throughout the Valley.
