The Commodore Isaac Hull Society – Valley United Way’s leadership-giving program, The Commodore Isaac Hull Society, recognizes those caring individuals who commit themselves to providing substantial support to our United Way. Members of the Hull Society are caring and sharing people who lead by example in the community by ensuring that needed human and social services continue to be made available to all citizens of the Lower Naugatuck Valley. These are the people who are in the forefront of the struggle to provide a better way of life to every age and generation.

Donors of $10,000 and above qualify for membership in The Alexis de Tocqueville Society. This prestigious society is a national leadership recognition program established by United Way of America in 1984 to recognize individual donors who contribute at this level to their local United Way. United Way of America produces a recognition book of all donors, nationwide, who are Alexis de Tocqueville members. Each member is listed under his/her United Way and there are thousands of de Tocqueville members, including some very well known individuals such as Ambassador Walter Annenberg and Bill Gates.
