Tina Telepun and Thom Molusis made it look easy as
they gave Hawley Lane Shoes their first event championship in their
three years of Corporate Cup competition by sweeping through the field
in the tournament held at the Valley YMCA in Ansonia. The dynamic duo
beat an almost equally impressive CDW-G #2 team of Justin Sikora and
Corey Goodman in two straight games in the championship round after they
had both won four straight matches on their way to the title tilt.
Hawley Lane knocked off TEAM "B", Calvert Safe &
Lock, Perkin Elmer #3 and BIC Rhino before their win over CDW-G #2. CDW-G
had advanced with impressive wins over Griffin Hosptial, Birmingham
Group #1, Birmingham Group #2 and BIC Smith & Clark in which they won
every game that they played.
BIC had a very strong showing as their two teams
rounded out the final four and tied for third place.
